Room was spacious and nicely decorated--in a very quiet fashion--with a nice little balcony overlooking mountains and part of the town. The hotel was very impressive with beautiful interior courtyards. Breakfast was good and bountiful and the staff was very pleasant. Within easy walking distance of La Granja Royal Palace.
peace and tranquility in luxuroius surroundings. very good food and excellent buffet breakfast. Room for wheelchair guests was huge with enormous bathroom with wheel-in shower.
Some guests may not like that you have to park in the street in front of the hotel but this did not seem to cause any difficulties. As there are several steps at the entrance disabled guests can use the rear entrance which is accessed from a large public car park (no charge)
The lovely designed rooms and the hotels location.
We stayed a second time, a few days after the first, and the room smelt of cigarette smoke.
The location in the historic town is beautiful. Our room and bath were huge and very comfortable. The building is beautiful.
Wifi didn’t work. Staff member provided Ethernet cable but was clueless about the wifi. Room was right on the street. Hotel is huge. Breakfast very expensive, so we skipped it and went to a smoky neighborhood café.
We asked several staff members to direct us to the pool and then again in the spa area so that we could take a swim but were told that unless we purchased a spa treatment we could not enter the pool area. We never did get to see or swim in the pool.
Although this hotel looks stunning, the rooms miss the character and personality that we do find in other paradores. The spa is rather expensive and, more importantly, the pool was closed (in september, 30 C degrees))
had a wonderful nights sleep in comfortable beds with completely blacked out rooms, I came to visit my daughter in nearby segovia and feel that it is a great place to stay providing you have a car
Excellent location for visiting Segovia as well as the local palace and gardens. Easy access from Madrid airport and also easy to visit El Escorial via very beautiful mountain road. Usual excellent Parador buffet breakfast.
Unlike other Paradors I have stayed in this has no outside terrace ro grounds.
The rooms are spacious, clean and have lots of light. The small town is charming and the hotel a good mix of comfort and pleasure.
We've stayed in other Paradors in Spain and have found this to be at the top of the list. The location and architecture of the building is superb and has a wonderful small pool with views of the moutain foothills. The town of La Granja is very small, charming and lively with a tourable royal palace. Very walkable with good range of tapas restaurants and cafes. Free parking 1 block from the hotel. Superb location for visiting Segovia, which can be a bit touristy. Also great bike paths and mountain hikes nearby. Excellent buffet brunch in a refined atmosphere tho not included in our rate.
A refined dinner and fine dining experience in a lovely courtyard, but was perhaps a bit heavy and pricey for us. Perferred to visit local tapas place called Meson.
The hotel has lovely grounds and building. The rooms are very pleasant. The service in the restaurants is very attentive.
In general the front desk staff was adequate but I would not say overly helpful. When you have driven from a long way and the parking is complicated, I think more of an effort should be made to assist the hotel guest. I would also say that although the food in the restaurant was very good, it is also very heavy. The addition of some simple salads and could soups would be a wonderful improvement in the heat of the Spanish summer.
La Granja is a beautiful town, we visited while on their festival, town was busy and noise but parador was a Oasis on the middle of the fiesta.Great facilities and the service was exceptional I will come back next year without fault
The building is beautiful and location is great.
Like all Paradores, there is hardly any service with a do- it- yourself approach. The background music in the hotel which was too loud and annoying especially at night.
We book the Parador Hotels because we are guaranteed a good standard of room and location. This hotel exceeded expectations. The standard room was large and bright, very modern with every facility you would want for. The inerior of the hotel was stunning. The restaurant was just perfect, a good a-la-carte menu plus some seasonal menus. Service was impeccable. The town is beautiful and unspoilt.
Beautiful building, lovely spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast. Nice having a coffee bar/cafe on site.
Whilst the restaurant food was good it would have been better if it had been served hotter.
